Haight Ashbury Flower Power Walking Tour
& Psychedelic History Museum
The Haight Ashbury Flower Power Walking Tour is your backstage pass to the coolest area in the universe! Stroll through the cosmic history of the Haight, from rock’n roll to art, fashion and architecture. This walking adventure gives you real insight into Haight-Ashbury!
The tour is approximately 60% hippy history and 40% general neighborhood history and architecture, but it is always 100% “far-out” fun! Saunter along the same streets that Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Grateful Dead, Joni Mitchell and countless others etched their marks into the collective alternative culture and creativity of the 20th century.
We cover approximately 12 blocks in 2.5 hours, with our final destination six blocks from the point of origin—a poetic and symbolic act of retracing the footsteps of so many, returning with greater understanding and heightened consciousness.

Testimonials
“I was privileged to be on a tour with Pam who has lived in Haight-Ashbury since 1967. Such amazing stories. The tour was a great treat and very interesting.”
— Nan
“Walking through the area with an insider, Pam, made us familiar with the political ideas of the hippie movement and showed us the sights where ‘it’ happened! The best part was going inside the museum (which Pam runs!) and seeing her personal collection of items from the 60s and 70s.”
— Sibylle
“Our guide was insightful and entertaining and really brought the tour to life with first hand stories. A real blast from the past!”
